Michele Harris

Michele grew up primarily in Colorado. She graduated high school in 2007 and moved to Bozeman, Montana, where she was an Elementary Education major before ultimately switching to Community Health. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science from Montana State University in 2013. Michele has always been passionate about working with children. While she didn’t quite complete her education degree, she knew she would eventually end up in the education field in some capacity.

Michele moved to Bellevue with her husband, Jack, and their oldest son, William, in 2018. Jack grew up here in the Wood River Valley so they frequently visited his family and eventually decided to move here permanently. They welcomed their second son, Luke, in 2019. Michele has been a full-time stay-at-home mom since 2015 and has also done some online teaching and tutoring on the side over the last 4 years.

Syringa Mountain School became a passion of Michele’s last year when William started Kindergarten. She spent the year committed to being a very active parent volunteer and also served on the Board of Directors before stepping down to join the school as a staff member. Michele comes from a long line of teachers and she is very excited to start this next chapter as a Special Education Paraprofessional at Syringa. She still plans on being an active parent volunteer as the Parent Council Liaison to the Board and she is looking forward to continuing to participate in fundraising and community-building efforts.
