2018 Hoedown

Saturday, April 28th from 6:30-11:00 p.m. Natootsi Estate Barn, 399 Broadford Rd. Bellevue, ID

Syringa Mountain School invites all supporters and community members to a traditional western gathering, inspired by the passion for an arts-inspired public education in Blaine County. The 4th annual Hoedown is an event that will inspire you to kick your heels up, twirl your skirt, and bring out your inner wrangler or saloon gambler. On April 28th the Natootsi Estate barn off Broadford road Bellevue will be filled with live music, card games, dancing, prizes, and delicious food and drinks.

Games and prizes have always been a part of the Hoedown, and this year guests will be given a small cup of poker chips to try their luck in blackjack and roulette, with large cups for sale so you can stay in the game! This wild west saloon will be complete with fiddle tunes performed by Strings Attached – a bluegrass trio from Twin Falls – one of whose members is the two-time state champion fiddle player Jeni Jacobson. After you work up a thirst learning how to line dance with Dale and Peggy Bates you can grab a drink at Road Bars – where craft cocktails can be purchased, designed by Blaine County local Christina Giordani.

Tickets for the hoedown will be on sale for $40 April 1st and include a traditional bbq spread with locally sourced foods created by Al McCord of the Sustainability Center and includes wine or a variety of delicious beers from Warfield and Sawtooth Breweries.  Purchase tickets ahead of time at biddingowl.com/syringamountain or at the door.  Else look for the Hoedown pop up locations at local grocery stores throughout the month of April.

There are many ways to participate in rallying for this public school option this spring. For those who would like to attend the Hoedown but cannot; raffle tickets will be sold by students in local neighborhoods and grocery stores. $10 for 1 or 6 for $50. Winning tickets will be awarded over $600 in restaurant gift certificates or in wellness treatments and therapies. In addition, you can shop the Syringa online auction which is filled with a wide variety of items from new toys, lodging, services and gift certificates. Hosted at biddingowl.com/syringamountain from April 1st-April 28th.
