Foreign language usually begins in first grade, giving children insight into and familiarity with another language and culture when they are especially primed to absorb this. Through the grades, the foreign language program expands to include reading, writing, grammar, and conversation so students become increasingly proficient in at least one foreign language.
Initially, we will teach Spanish to all students across the grades. A second foreign language may be introduced at a future date. Aspects of other languages (e.g. Latin, Greek, Hebrew, and Japanese) are also woven into the curriculum.
