Date, Time and Place of Monthly Board Meetings
Board meetings generally take place on the second Wednesday of each month from 5:00PM to 7:00 PM and are usually held in a classroom at Syringa Mountain School. Please check the agenda posted to confirm date, time, and location.

Board Retreat-January 15th 5-8pm @ Syringa Mountain School.
Types of Board Meetings
The SMS Board holds two types of meetings:
- A Board Meeting includes a voting agenda and includes time for public comment. We hold a Board Meeting on the first Thursday of each month.
- A Board Work Session is different from a traditional board meeting. This is an opportunity for the Board to gather, share information, and work together; however, it does not include a voting agenda or time for public comment. Like Board Meetings, Board Work Sessions are open to the public. During the pre-opening period of the school, we will continue to hold Board Work Sessions on the third Thursday of each month. These regular Board Work Sessions may discontinue after the school is open.
Attending a Board Meeting
Our Board Meetings are open to the public and provide an excellent opportunity to learn about Syringa Mountain School. We welcome all members of the public to attend our meetings.
Participating in a Board Meeting and Presenting Information to the Board
At each Board Meeting, the meeting agenda sets aside time for public comment. Individuals who wish to share ideas or concerns with the Board should complete a Request to Appear Before the Board and submit submit to the Board chair prior the start of the board meeting. The Board will take public comment only at regular board meetings and only on matters scheduled on the agenda. Board work sessions do not include time for public comment. Each speaker will be limited to three (3) minutes. Total time allotted for public comment is at the discretion of the Board chair. Thank you for sharing your comments with us. (Legal Reference: I.C.
